Love Yunge from the Desert

Yun Ge deduces that Meng Jue was responsible for the death of Liu Fu Ling. Meng Jue pretends that he really was the culprit because he knows that it would destroy Yun Ge to learn that it was her sachet that induced the poison which killed Liu Fu Ling. Yun Ge heads for the royal tombs to be with her Ling Ge Ge, but she is stopped by the guards who tell her that breaking into the royal tomb is punishable by death. She forges ahead anyway and faints from the injuries she sustained from the guards. Xu Ping Jun finds her, but the carriage that they were on lost control. Xu Ping Jun becomes gravely injured as well, but tells the doctors to save Yun Ge first. Xu Ping Jun dies, but not before telling Yun Ge that Meng Jue is innocent. Liu Xun wallows in sorrow, but finally finds the logic to inspect the carriage. He realizes that there was foul play but commands that all traces of the evidence be burned. Huo Cheng Jun smiles at her success and thinks that she can finally become the empress. Meanwhile, Yun Ge leaves to return to the desert while Meng Jue keeps his promise to Ping Jun to stay as the tutor of Hu Zi.

Two years pass and it turns out that Liu Xun never forgot about how his wife died. He was just biding his time to get back at the Huo family. Meng Jue goes to see Huo Cheng Jun who is being forced to commit suicide, and tells her that he won't let her die because she is already crazy. Liu Xun knows that Meng Jue played a part in saving Huo Cheng Jun, and it bothers him further that his son Hu Zi has become too attached to Meng Jue. Meng Jue asks to resign, but Liu Xun tells him that if he refuses to stay, then he will be killed. Meng Jue leaves anyway even as Liu Xun raises his bow and arrow... Elsewhere in a place far away, Yun Ge stands looking on.
