Young Sherlock

A story revolving around young Di Ren Jie as he goes to the capital to take an exam, but gets tasked with the investigation of an assassination attempt that leads to a bigger conspiracy.

Li Zhi (Yuan Hong) has been crowned the emperor of the Tang Dynasty but sinister ploys and political intrigues have shaken his beliefs. His father's concubine Wu Mei Niang (Ruby Lin) returns to the palace after spending time in the Gan Ye Temple. Di Ren Jie (Bosco Wong) is a twentysomething scholar who has come to Chang An with his childhood friend Meng Yao (Sun Xiao Xiao). He gets into a fight with Wang Yuan Fang (Ma Tianyu) though they become friends later on. He also meets female martial artist Li Wan Qing (Qi Wei) whom he becomes increasingly enamored with. Together, they solve mysteries and fight crime, earning the praise of Emperor Li Zhi and Wu Mei Niang.

• It is Ruby Lin and Yuan Hong's first project together as an onscreen couple as well as Bosco Wong and Ma Tianyu's first collaboration as partners.
