Synopsis and Plot Summary
It tells a story of how two divorcees let go of the past to rekindle the hope of a romance. Jumping through one hurdle at a time, they finally move to the next station of marriage.
Deng Caocao's (Liu Tao) world collapsed when her son was kidnapped. Now a divorced woman, she lives alone while carrying the guilt from losing her child. Gong Jian (Yu Hewei) is also divorced. He used to be a member of the special forces. After he retired from service, he found work as the captain of a large security company and was in charge of the community where Deng Caocao lived.
Gong Jian and Deng Caocao meet by chance. Gong Jian plays an important role in helping Deng Caocao find her son. However, her son Xiao Xuan (Yang Chengjian) is no longer the behaved and sensible child he once was. Gong Jian and this extremely stubborn boy start to have a special bond. They are like father and son even though they aren't.
As Gong Jian and Deng Caocao decide to get married, they begin to meet each other's families. As it turns out, Gong Jian's mother Wang Caiqin (Xu Songzi) used to work for Deng Caocao as a nanny. Meanwhile, Deng Caocao's ex Guan Hao (Shao Wen) has returned to ask Caocao for a chance to get back together. Gong Jian also has a female colleague who is pursuing him, and their road to marriage is full of roadblocks.
