Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story that follows the mysterious occurrences surrounding a rich family in a small town and the heroine who gets caught in the middle of it all.
Set during the Republican era, Huang Tian Ming (Jiang Tong) who is the patriarch of the family welcomes his 60th birthday. His eldest daughter (Zhang Zhi Xi) and her friend Du Chun Xiao (Victoria Song) both return from studying abroad. Master Huang is uncharacteristically interested in Chun Xiao as he not only asks her to stay but also arranges for her to marry his eldest son Huang Mo Ru (Yang Yang). At the same time, she starts getting close with Huang Mu Yun (Jiang Jin Fu), the second son of the family all while unsettling circumstances start occurring. (Source: DramaPanda)
Fun Facts
- As the leading lady, Victoria Song had over 600 scenes from night scenes to wirework.
- Even though Victoria Song and Jiang Jin Fu have filmed together for months, the two who played a couple for the first time in this drama still felt shy and awkward in their kissing scenes and NG'd several times.
- Filming lasted around three months beginning December 13, 2013 and ending March 6, 2014.
- It was originally scheduled to air on Anhui TV in November 2017 but the broadcast did not push through.
- It finally premiered as a web drama on New Year's Day in 2018, four years since the drama finished filming.
