Synopsis and Plot Summary
With the 'Waiting for Someone' coffee shop as its stage, the story revolves around the love that each and every person has hidden in their hearts. A part-timer with a crush on a customer finds a friend in her school senior and slowly realizes where her true feelings lie.
University student Li Siying (Vivian Sung) has come to the coffee shop to work part-time where she meets various personalities. Ah Busi (Megan Lai) is an exceptional barista who can concoct any kind of coffee upon request. Coffee shop owner (Vivian Chow) is both mysterious and seemingly nonchalant about everything else. Meanwhile, Li Siying has a crush on Zeyu (Marcus Chang) who always sits at the same place and seems to have no shortage of women.
One day, her school senior Ah Tuo (Bruce Hung), a legendary figure at their school, arrives at the cafe with some of his friends. He runs into his rival Ah Busi who stole his ex-girlfriend from him. Siying couldn't stand to see Ah Tuo being picked on by his friends so she stands up for him. Ah Tuo is hot-blooded and earnest. In order to fulfill his dream of travelling the world, he has taken on numerous jobs which delayed his graduation, earning him the absurd reputation as the student who can't graduated.
Through his work, Ah Tuo is acquainted the intimidating Bao Ge (Lee Luo) who seems to be a ganglord yet was once a film director who now runs a food shop. He also meets Auntie Jin (Pauline Lan), the laundry shop owner with exceptional cooking skills. Completely taken by Siying's sense of justice, Ah Tuo opens up to her and introduces her to his colorful life. He becomes a friend whom she confides in all while she pines after her crush. Will she eventually realize her true feelings?
