Synopsis and Plot Summary

A businessman with a groundbreaking invention, his colleague who intends to beat him into selling the product and a food stall owner on his first trip abroad cross paths in a crazy adventure in Thailand.

Xu Lang (Xu Zheng) spent five years inventing a miraculous product - every time a car is fuelled up to two-third, only 2 drops of their product are needed to get a full tank. Xu Lang's colleague and rival Gao Bo (Huang Bo) intends to sell their new invention to the French. Xu Lang disagrees because he hopes to conduct more in-depth R&D in order to maximize the product's future potential.

Xu Lang and Gao Bo argue endlessly to no avail. Since they own the same number of shares, the only way they can achieve their respective goals is to obtain a letter of authorization from Zhou Yang who is the company's largest shareholder. Upon learning that Zhou Yang is in Thailand, Xu Lang immediately sets out to find him.

Gao Bo plants a tracker on Xu Lang and also goes to Thailand. Xu Lang meets Wang Bao (Wang Baoqiang) on the plane and attempt to use Wang Bao to get Gao Bo of his back. Unfortunately, the plan backfires. Xu Lang not only fails to get rid of Wang Bao but also becomes his "personal nanny." Who will win the race to getting Zhou Yang's power of attorney? What kind of journey awaits three people with different purposes?

It is part of Xu Zheng's "Lost In" blockbuster movie franchise.
Xu Zheng collaborates with fellow comic actors Wang Baoqiang and Huang Bo.
It is being marketed as the upgraded version of the 2010 film "Lost on Journey" also starring Xu Zheng and Wang Baoqiang but with a completely new story.
Xu Zheng said he wrote a letter to Fan Bingbing to invite her to make a cameo. She did not accept any talent fees.
"Lost in Thailand" marks Xu Zheng's directorial debut and his first time directing, screenwriting, producing and acting in his own movie.
On March 13, 2013, Xu Zheng and the crew met Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
